Bui-Doi

gawd is ard ere. Korea I mean. Worse dan da Japan. Best bit is i still study da istory. eres another peace.

Vietnam. Wot a terrbl war dat was. crazee coz da south did not wanna da help of da USA. So da USA were fytin da north oo were da commies, AND da south coz dey wanna choose to fyt demselves.

Da upshot is da USA dint know oo 2 trust wen dey visit da villages. Da final fing wuz dey had 2 escape from Saigon in 1975 coz da norf were comming. Dey left in helc...halii...helicop...DAMN CHOPPERS.

Da USA loss dat war.

Da tragedy is da Bui-Doi. Da Bui-Doi were da kids from the USA guys by vietnam girls.
Dey were left behind, and den, a govverment program was fought of years later to get dem back coz in da USA kids born of da US guys are auto-US.

So da ex-soldiers got 2gevver an went back 2 get dem. Da girls ad 2 coz life better in da USA.

Das wot da show Miss Saigon is abt. neva seen it, jus know da Bui-doi storee. Is tragedy

First, dey ad 2 leave da kids behind.

Den, dey go back and break 2 harts, da kid 4 leavin da mom 4 a guy he/she neva met, and da mom 4 avin2 give up her kid volunti...vol.. as her choice.

Aki has seen da musical in London, so i fink she may post on dis.

Dulce Et Ducorum Est

Dis poem is verey, verey sachastic. A discriptyion of war horror in WWI.

Chlorine gas was yused in dat war. If U breve it in it mixes wiv da mukus in da lungs and turns to acid, an da soldyer gets burned frm da inside owt.

Is heavier dan air so sinks inside da trenches to da men.

But Da title mean da opposite of da horor.

Is latin but mean:

"It Is Sweet and Fitting to Die for One's Country".

Wilfred Owen was killd 5 days b4 da end of da war.

Peace in the name of Peace

My fawts on dis R so strng I ave 2 ask Aki to rite dis 4 me coz i dunno da English wrds.

"Today is Rememberance Sunday, and exactly 90 years ago, peace was declared in the First World War. At 11 am GMT, many dignitaries will gather at the Cenotaph in London's Whitehall to lay Wreaths in Rememberance of ALL the soldiers who died in ALL wars, in the name of peace. Every year at exactly 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, this ceremony is observed in England.

The Queen of England, her family, her Prime Minister, most of the Government, and many foreign leaders are present to pay their respects. This year more than many will be present as it is the 90th Anniversary of the Ceasefire in the "War to End All War" (H.G.Wells).

It is a very sombre occasion, and takes place every year. It is a worthwhile ceremony, commemorating peace.

My question is simple: What about the soldiers who fall in battle tomorrow, in Afghanistan, Iraq, in places where peace blatantly does NOT exist? Why wait for another 364 days to remember them?

It may smack of hypocrisy, but it may also be just another case of incongruence. "

Mi fanxz to Aki for da tranlation.
